Hiatus is Over

Hi! Been a while, but I’m back. Hate to use the “work is so busy I’m tired and not in the mood to blog” excuse, but for once, that is exactly what is happening. Long story short, our office has taken in a pretty large uptick in work, while having 2 people out on medical leave. However, I think there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I still bust my hump to leave on time so I can enjoy the evenings with my family. I have no issues firing up the laptop afterward to catch up. Some days wind up being an aggregate 10 hours or so, but at least I can have the flexibility of making some of it on my terms.

Anywho, had a busy weekend, which technically started on my drive home Friday when I got word Liam had a temperature of 105 and Rebecca and he were rerouted from his normal dr’s office to the Children’s Healthcare Urgent Care place. Wasted 3 hours there only to get discharged with an antibiotic for an ear infection. The doctor suggested Tylenol every 4 hours, so Rebecca and I went back into infant mode with the alarm clock. But I am proud of our secret spy efforts in giving Liam Tylenol from a syringe in the dark and not spilling a drop on the mattress. He’s feeling better now and ready to go back to school tomorrow.

Zachary has been enjoying his T-ball on Saturday mornings, and it’s been fun being a coach. It’s still a victory if we can keep all the team members on the field at the same time and not over at the see-saw or the swings. Very curious to see the team photo that they took on Saturday.
